Awareness

In recent years, autism’s public profile has increased dramatically. This is due in large part to the overwhelming increase in the occurrence of autism in children. It is also due to the substantial effort made by organizations dedicated to raising awareness of this growing epidemic. We support this critical work. Many parents doctors teachers and others are now familiar with autism when not that long ago, its symptoms were missed and undiagnosed. Increased awareness leads to better understanding, earlier diagnosis, more effective therapy, improved public policy, and more funding for research.
